Rosa Chrome Workstation BareMetal

The operating system is built on the basis of the proprietary software platform ROSA 2021.1 and has completed the full development and assembly cycle of ABF.

Rosahrom is technologically compatible with other certified products manufactured by LLC “NTC IT ROSA”, which makes it easy to build infrastructure of any complexity with different security circuits.

Features

• The RPM4 package manager. RPM5 has been completely replaced by RPM4; integration with RHEL-compatible OSes has been improved.
• An installer based on Anaconda, supporting graphical and text-based installation, as well as rapid deployment scenarios.
• The Linux kernel 6.12.x in its basic version.
• Execution Library Glibc 2.33 in mode backward compatibility with Linux kernels up to 4.14.x, compiler set [GCC 11.2](https://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/gcc-11 /), initialization tool systemd 249+.
• The appropriate proprietary NVIDIA driver is installed using the command sudo kroko-cli autoinstall.
• A localized bootloader and login manager based on GDM.
• A desktop environment based on KDE Plasma 5.

• The distribution complies with the requirements of the Linux Standard Base standard. This allows running applications compatible with this standard in the system, including proprietary and commercial solutions that are important for corporate users.
• Ease of administration using preinstalled graphical programs: a control panel for configuring various system components, a kiosk, tools for setting quotas, and launching programs with execution priorities.
• Presence of pre‑installed applications for quick start: email client, browser, office suite, instant messaging client.

Prepare an SSH key pair for connecting to the BareMetal server.

1. Order a BareMetal server.

   1.1. In the Image section, go to the Marketplace tab and select ROSA Chrome Workstation for BareMetal.
   1.2. In the Access section, add the public part of the previously prepared key to the Public SSH key field.

2. Wait for the installation to complete and connect to the server via SSH. Use the root username and the private SSH key created earlier.
