Creating a Virtual Machine

1. Log in to the Yandex Cloud management console.
2. Select the folder where you want to create a virtual machine.
3. Go to the Compute Cloud service.
4. Click the Create VM button.
5. In the Marketplace Images section, select AlmaLinux 10.
6. Configure the virtual machine parameters:
   • Choose an appropriate platform and virtual machine class.
   • Specify the required number of vCPUs and RAM amount.
   • Configure disks and network interfaces if necessary.
7. Set up access to the virtual machine:
   • Create a new SSH key or use an existing one.
   • Set a username (default: almalinux).
8. Click the Create VM button.

Connecting to the Virtual Machine

1. After creating the virtual machine, find its public IP address in the list of virtual machines.
2. Connect to the virtual machine via SSH:

   ssh almalinux@<public_IP_address> -i <path_to_private_key>
   
3. Once connected, you can start working with AlmaLinux 10.

Updating the System

After the first launch, it is recommended to update the system:

sudo dnf update -y

Installing Additional Software

To install additional software, use the DNF package manager:

sudo dnf install <package_name>
