Registering an account in Yandex Cloud

Written by
Yandex Cloud
Updated at April 6, 2026

To work with most Yandex Cloud services, you need a billing account. The account stores information about the payer and payment details. Yandex Cloud debits your card and invoices you only if you are using the paid version.

After the billing account is created, the initial grant is issued to individuals and businesses alike.

New customers registered as a business are eligible for a trial period. New individual customers start using Yandex Cloud under the consumption-based model. There is no trial period available for them.

The trial period allows you to discover the features of the cloud infrastructure for free with some limitations. To continue using the resources after your trial period ends, upgrade to the paid version.

Note

Currently, Yandex Cloud does not support user sign-ups from certain countries due to technical reasons.

Businesses and individual entrepreneurs

To create a billing account:

  1. Log in to your Yandex ID or Yandex 360 account. If you do not have an account yet, register. When done, navigate to Yandex Identity Hub and create an organization to work in. If using your social network profile to log in to Yandex, create a username and password.

When creating an organization, specify its name, e.g., Example organization. The organization will automatically get a new folder named default.

  2. Go to Yandex Cloud Billing.

  3. To create your first billing account, open the Account tab and click Create an account.

To create another billing account in addition to those you already have, click at the top of the screen next to the name of your existing billing account.

    In the window that opens:

    1. In the Account type field, select Individual.

    2. In the Country field, select the country the payer is a resident of.

Within a single user account, all payers must pay in the same currency.

    3. Contact details associated with your Yandex ID will be automatically added to your account. If this does not happen, provide your current email address and phone number. These contact details are not just for communication with you but also for payment invoices and reporting documents.

    4. Select Payment method: linked credit/debit card or manual top-up:

      • Link your credit or debit card. If the user account already has credit/debit cards linked to it, you can select one of them without adding a new one.

After successfully adding your card, you will receive an initial grant provided you are a first-time user of Yandex Cloud. The grant is valid for 60 days, but it does not cover GPU clusters, paid support plans, or Marketplace products.

        Warning

The initial grant will be credited only if you link a credit/debit card to the billing account when creating it.

You will be able to use paid resources in the cloud only after you top up your personal account.

        We accept Visa, and MasterCard.

        • Residents of Russia make payments in RUB and can only use bank cards issued by Russian banks.
        • Residents of Kazakhstan make payments in KZT and can only use bank cards issued by non-Russian banks.
        • Non-residents of Russia and Kazakhstan make payments in USD and can only use credit or debit cards issued by non-Russian banks.

To make sure your bank card is valid, we will hold a small amount on your account. This amount will not be charged and will become available once the verification is complete. The amount of time required to release the funds held depends on your bank.

      • Manual top-up: Top up your balance manually as needed.

    5. Click Create.

    Warning

Note that for individuals an established verification procedure applies, which may result in the account activation being declined.

    4. Specify the Taxpayer ID (INN) to automatically load data from the EGRUL/EGRIP unified registry.

Details about the organization or individual entrepreneur will appear in a pop-up window displaying the company card. Click the card to load this information into the billing account creation form.

To ensure the entered data is up to date, click on the company card. Correct the data if necessary.

    5. Select Payment method: wire transfer or linked credit or debit card.

The payment method you select will affect the size of the initial grant and its terms of use.

      • Select Bank transfer. After you create an account, you will get an email with verification instructions. Until you pass the verification, paid resources will be unavailable.

      • Link a corporate bank card you are authorized to use. If the user account already has bank cards linked to it, you can select one of them without adding a new one.

We accept Mir, Visa, and MasterCard.

        • Residents of Russia make payments in RUB and can only use bank cards issued by Russian banks. Customers with tax residency in the Republic of Belarus pay for Yandex Cloud services in RUB with their Belcard cards issued in the Republic of Belarus or Mir cards issued in the Russian Federation.

    6. Click Create.

If you select the Bank transfer payment method or if the payer is a non-resident of Russia and Kazakhstan, further instructions will be emailed to you at the address specified in your Yandex or Yandex 360 account. You may also get this email if you select Bank card for payment method in cases where your new billing account requires verification. Once your documents have been verified, you can activate your billing account and start using Yandex Cloud.

Email the following documents to cloud_docs@support.yandex.ru:

  • Copy in English of the legal entity's or individual entrepreneur's certificate of incorporation or registration.
  • Billing account ID.

On the Account tab of the Yandex Cloud Billing interface, the Linked clouds and services section shows all connected clouds and services, e.g., DataSphere. If your account is added to an organization, you will see the organization ID under Linked clouds and services as well.

On the service home page, you can find billing accounts of all your organizations, as well as the accounts you have access to.

Note

When you create a billing account, you automatically get the billing.accounts.owner role. Any user with the billing.accounts.owner role can remove this role from the billing account creator and change the owner. To learn more, see Access management.
