Creating a new billing account

Written by
Yandex Cloud
Updated at October 21, 2025

Cloud members can create one or more billing accounts.

Individuals
Businesses and individual entrepreneurs

To create a billing account:

  1. Go to Yandex Cloud Billing.

  2. Log in to your Yandex ID or Yandex 360 account. If you do not have an account yet, sign up and create an organization to work in Yandex Identity Hub. If using your social network profile to log in to Yandex, create a username and password.

  3. To create your first billing account, open the Account tab and click Create an account.

    Note

To create another billing account in addition to those you already have, click at the top of the screen next to the name of your existing billing account.

    In the window that opens:

    1. In the Template name field, enter a name for the billing account. The name will be displayed in the list of your billing accounts and will help you select the right one.

    2. In the Organization field, select the organization to create a billing account for.

    3. In the Country field, select the country the payer is a resident of.

Within a single user account, all payers must pay in the same currency.

    4. In the Account type field, select Individual and click Next.

    5. On the Personal data page, enter your last name and first name and click Next.

    6. Optionally, on the Payment details page, link your bank card to the new billing account:

      • Click Add card.
      • Specify your card details: 16-digit number, expiration date, and CVV (you can find it on the back side of your card).
      • Click Link.

If the user account already has bank cards linked to it, you can select one of them without adding a new one.

      We accept Visa, and MasterCard.

      • Residents of Russia make payments in RUB and can only use bank cards issued by Russian banks.
      • Residents of Kazakhstan make payments in KZT and can only use bank cards issued by non-Russian banks.
      • Non-residents of Russia and Kazakhstan make payments in USD and can only use credit or debit cards issued by non-Russian banks.

To make sure your bank card is valid, we will hold a small amount on your account. This amount will not be charged and will become available once the verification is complete. The amount of time required to release the funds held depends on your bank.

Your account will be created as a paid one: after you have used up your initial grant, your card will be debited for the Yandex Cloud resources you are using.

Once you are done adding your bank card, click Next.

      Warning

You may skip adding a card in the billing account creation form as this step is optional. However, in this case, you will not be eligible for the initial grant, even if you add a card later. You will be able to work with paid resources in the cloud only after you top up your personal account.

    7. On the Contacts page, provide your current email address and phone number. These contact details are not just for communication with you but also for payment invoices and reporting documents. If your contact details are already filled in, check if they are up to date.

    8. Click Create.

      Warning

Note that for individuals an established verification procedure applies, which may result in the account activation being declined.

You can change your payment method at any time after you create your billing account.

    6. Click Next.

    7. On the Company information page, enter the INN (Individual Taxpayer Number) of the organization or individual entrepreneur.

The system will automatically retrieve the relevant organization or individual entrepreneur info from the Russian Unified State Register of Legal Entities/Individual Entrepreneurs (EGRUL/EGRIP) and display it in the pop-up company card window. Click the card to load this information into the billing account creation form.

Make sure the loaded organization/individual entrepreneur details are current and accurate. Edit the information as needed and click Next.

    8. Optionally, if you selected to pay with a credit or debit card, open the Payment details page and add your corporate card to the new billing account:

      • Click Add card.
      • Specify your card details: 16-digit number, expiration date, and CVV (you can find it on the back side of your card).
      • Click Link.
      • Confirm that the card is a corporate one and you are authorized to use it.

If the user account already has bank cards linked to it, you can select one of them without adding a new one.

      • Residents of Russia make payments in RUB and can only use bank cards issued by Russian banks. Customers with tax residency in the Republic of Belarus pay for Yandex Cloud services in RUB with their Belcard cards issued in the Republic of Belarus or Mir cards issued in the Russian Federation.
      • Residents of Kazakhstan make payments in KZT and can only use bank cards issued by non-Russian banks.
      • Non-residents of Russia and Kazakhstan make payments in USD and can only use credit or debit cards issued by non-Russian banks.

    9. On the Contacts page, provide your current email address and phone number. These contact details are not just for communication with you but also for payment invoices and reporting documents. If your contact details are already filled in, check if they are up to date.

      Note

If this is your first Yandex Cloud billing account, you are eligible for a trial period. After it expires, the access to your resources will be suspended. To resume operation, you will need to switch to the paid version.

    10. Click Create.

If you select the Bank transfer payment method or if the payer is a non-resident of Russia and Kazakhstan, further instructions will be emailed to you at the address specified in your Yandex or Yandex 360 account. You may also get this email if you select Bank card for payment method in cases where your new billing account requires verification. Once your documents have been verified, you can activate your billing account and start using Yandex Cloud.

Email the following documents to cloud_docs@support.yandex.ru:

      • Copy in English of the legal entity's or individual entrepreneur's certificate of incorporation or registration.
      • Billing account ID.

Note

Businesses also have access to a subaccount registered through the Partner portal as their customer's account. Payment invoices for use of services by subaccounts are always issued to partners.

On the Account tab of the Yandex Cloud Billing interface, the Linked clouds and services section shows all connected clouds and services, e.g., DataSphere. If your account is added to an organization, you will see the organization ID under Linked clouds and services as well.

On the service home page, you can find billing accounts of all your organizations, as well as the accounts you have access to.
