Creating an alert

1. On the Monitoring home page, click Create alert.

2. Specify the main alert settings:

   • Name: Name the alert.
   • Description: Describe the purpose of the alert.

3. Describe queries.

4. Configure the alert trigger conditions:

   • Query to check
   • Aggregation function
   • Comparison function
   • Warning and Alarm trigger thresholds.
   • Evaluation window
   • Evaluation delay

5. Set the no data policies or leave the default values.

6. Specify the alert annotations.

7. Configure notifications. If you do not have a notification channel, create one.

8. Click Create. The alert will appear in the list.

To monitor the alert's status, add its widget to the dashboard.
