Tantor DB Basic Edition (Tantor BE) is a RDBMS includes a number of new features and improvements compared to PostgreSQL, as well as vendor support
Changes in Tantor RDBMS core:
- Expanding the quantity of partitions in the shared buffer
- Optimization (~1.4 times) of the pglz data compression algorithm
- Reduction of page locks in the shared buffer
- WAL file compression using lz4 and zstd algorithms
- Cascade replication and recovery optimization (standby fadvise)
- Parametrized end of session by GUC param
- Parametrized end of transaction by GUC param
- Checksums are enabled by default
- Introduced a feature to set aside specific connection slots for non-superusers, configurable through the reserved_connections parameter. These reserved slots are accessible only to users with the new pg_use_reserved_connections role.
- ARM64 architecture support
