Disabling a rule

Written by
Yandex Cloud
Updated at June 9, 2025

When a rule is disabled, it stops forwarding events to the specified targets.

Management console
CLI
API
  1. In the management console, go to the folder where you want to disable a rule.
  2. Select Serverless Integrations.
  3. In the left-hand panel, click EventRouter.
  4. Select the bus you need.
  5. Navigate to the Rules tab.
  6. In the rule row, click and select Disable.

If you do not have the Yandex Cloud CLI installed yet, install and initialize it.

By default, the CLI uses the folder specified when creating the profile. To change the default folder, use the yc config set folder-id <folder_ID> command. You can also set a different folder for any specific command using the --folder-name or --folder-id parameter.

  1. View the description of the CLI command for disabling a rule:

yc serverless eventrouter rule disable --help

  2. Get a list of rules:

    yc serverless eventrouter rule list

    Result:

    +----------------------+-------+----------------------+----------------------+---------+---------------------+
    | ID | NAME | BUS ID | FOLDER ID | TARGETS | DELETION PROTECTION |
    +----------------------+-------+----------------------+----------------------+---------+---------------------+
    | f66ir9eeie4e******** | rule1 | f662ctjn8vo6******** | b1geoelk7fld******** | Logging | false |
    | f66q0kq19n2q******** | rule2 | f662ctjn8vv4******** | b1geoelk7fld******** | YMQ | false |
    +----------------------+-------+----------------------+----------------------+---------+---------------------+

  3. Disable the rule:

yc serverless eventrouter rule disable <rule_name_or_ID>

    Result:

    id: f66aa46qtt1l********
    bus_id: f66epjc9llqt********
    folder_id: b1g681qpemb4********
    cloud_id: b1gia87mbaom********
    created_at: "2025-02-26T10:30:59.611601Z"
    name: renamed-rule
    ...
    status: DISABLED

To disable a rule, use the Disable REST API method for the Rule resource or the Rule/Disable gRPC API call.
