Yandex Browser for organizations

Yandex Browser for organizations has been designed specifically for corporate use. It was built from the ground up with security in mind.

Yandex Browser features built-in support for CryptoPro, National Certification Center (NCC) certificates, and various group policies to control access and Browser functions. It’s also compatible with Russian operating systems, such as AlterOS, RED OS, Astra, ALT, and ROSA.

Key differences from Yandex Browser for personal use:

— Support for centralized installation.
— Expanded set of group policies (300+).
— Personal account for configuring assemblies.
— DLP functions, phishing protection, virus checks for websites and extensions.
— Integration with security systems (SIEM).
— Managing Browser clients from the admin console.
— Integration with Yandex 360 corporate resources and services.
— Configuring home page widgets and corporate branding for the Browser’s appearance.
— Compatibility mode for working with IE and other legacy plugins and technologies.
— Kiosk mode.
— Sandboxing.
— Dedicated tech support.

Yandex Browser can be deployed as part of a centralized process. You can use the Admin console to download installation files for different operating systems: MSI for Windows, DMG for MacOS, DEB and RPM for Linux.

Company-wide setup

Group policies make administering multiple Browsers easy. System administrator can configure workplaces in a centralized manner (that is to apply the same settings for a group of employees as opposed to going one by one). This includes security settings.

Security events

The extended version of Yandex Browser for organizations supports the export of security events to security information and event management systems (SIEMs).

This way, security specialists can receive immediate information about suspicious activity on any corporate workstation with network access. This enables the specialists to take prompt action. For example, if they spot a malicious extension being downloaded to one workstation right away, they can immediately block it on all other devices.

OS-agnostic Browser management

When you purchase licenses for an extended version of Yandex Browser for organizations, your account becomes a full-fledged admin console which allows you to:

— Manage all of the organization’s Browsers, creating profiles for individual employees or entire departments.
— Centrally manage group policy settings, regardless of the OS the Browser runs on.
— Manage licenses (coming soon).
— Manage the extensions installed in employees' Yandex Browsers, define their installation rules, and set access levels for the Browser’s API (coming soon).

Legacy software

Some corporate web services were developed a long time ago, meaning part of their functionality is no longer supported in modern browsers.

Yandex Browser for organizations has a compatibility mode, which lets you work with services that are optimized for Internet Explorer. Yandex Browser is also compatible with the ActiveX, COM, Java, Internet, and other components.
