IPSec instance

Updated November 24, 2025

An image with a pre-installed strongSwan solution for Linux and pre-configured routing and IP address translation rules. It can be used for secure connections between resources in a local data center and cloud resources through an IPSec tunnel. In this case, only one public IP address will be used: the one that will be assigned to the IPSec instance.

Deployment instructions
  1. Get an SSH key pair to connect to a virtual machine (VM).
  2. Create a VM from a public image. Under Image/boot disk selection, go to the Cloud Marketplace tab and select IPSec instance. Under Access:
    • Enter the username in the Login field.
    • Paste the contents of the public key file in the SSH key field.
  3. Connect to the VM via SSH. To do this, use the username you set when creating the VM and the private SSH key you created earlier.
