Alt SP Server release 10

“Alt SP” Server is a server operating system with built—in information security software, certified by the FSTEC of Russia. It is included in the Unified Register of Russian Programs, registration number 4305.
Certificate of Conformity No. 3866 was issued by the FSTEC of Russia on August 10, 2018, valid until August 10, 2028.

In accordance with the regulatory legal act “Information Security Requirements for Operating Systems” (FSTEC of Russia, 2016), the operating system ensures the execution of programs in a secure environment and is intended for use:

• in automated control systems for production and technological processes of the 1st class of security;
• in public information systems of Class II;
• in state information systems of the 1st security class;
• in personal data information systems, if necessary, to ensure the 1st level of personal data security.

Meets the requirements of the documents:

• “Information security requirements that establish levels of trust in the means of technical protection of information and means of ensuring the security of information technologies” (FSTEC of Russia, 2020, Order No. 76) on the 4th level of trust;
• “Information security requirements for operating systems” (FSTEC of Russia, 2016) and “Protection profile of type A operating systems of the fourth protection class. IT.OS.A4.PZ” (FSTEC of Russia, 2017) for the 4th class of protection;
• “Information security requirements for containerization facilities” (FSTEC of Russia, 2022, Order No. 118) for the 4th class of protection;
• “Information security requirements for virtualization tools” (FSTEC of Russia, 2022, Order No. 187) for the 4th class of protection.

The “Alt SP” Server operating system contains a complete set of services for the functioning of the corporate infrastructure. The main components are listed in the specification on the vendor’s website

1. Get an SSH key pair to connect to a virtual machine (VM).

2. Create a VM from a public image. Under Image/boot disk selection, go to the Cloud Marketplace tab and select Alt SP Server. Under Access:

   • Enter the username in the Login field.
   • Paste the contents of the public SSH key file in the SSH key field.

   Save the VM public IP address.

3. Connect to the VM over SSH. Use the username you provided when creating the VM, as well as the generated private SSH key.
