Alt SP Server

Alt SP (Alt 8 SP) is an operating system for servers and workstations with built-in information security software.

Certificate of Conformity No. 3866 issued by the FSTEC of Russia on August 10, 2018, certifies that the Alt 8 SP operating system meets the requirements of the following documents:

• “Information security requirements that establish levels of trust in the means of technical protection of information and means of ensuring the security of information technologies” (FSTEC of Russia, 2020) — according to trust level 4.
• “Information Security Requirements for Operating Systems” (FSTEC of Russia, 2016).
• “Protection Profile of operating systems type A of the fourth protection class. IT.OS.A4.PZ” (FSTEC of Russia, 2017).

The system is included in the Unified Register of Russian Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases (software registration number: 4305).

Alt SP Server is used in:

• Government information systems of security class 1.
• Automated control systems of production and technological processes of security class 1.
• Information systems with level 1 personal data protection.
• Public information systems (PIS) of security class 2.

1. Get an SSH key pair to connect to a virtual machine (VM).

2. Create a VM from a public image. Under Image/boot disk selection, go to the Cloud Marketplace tab and select Alt SP Server. Under Access:

   • Enter the username in the Login field.
   • Paste the contents of the public SSH key file in the SSH key field.

   Save the VM public IP address.

3. Connect to the VM over SSH. Use the username you provided when creating the VM, as well as the generated private SSH key.
