Minimum system requirements

Virtual machines:

  • vCPU: 1
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Disk size: At least 100 GB

Recommended system requirements

Virtual machines:

  • vCPU: At least 2
  • RAM: At least 12 GB
  • Disk size: At least 150 GB
Deployment instructions
  1. Get an SSH key pair for connection to the VM.

  2. Create a VM from a public image:

    1. Under Boot disk image on the Marketplace tab, enter CloudGuard in the Product search field and select this public image: Check Point CloudGuard Network Security. R81.20 Mgmt&GW BYOL.

    2. Under Access:

      • In the Login field, enter the username: admin.

      • In the SSH key field, select from the list the SSH key you got earlier.

        Note

        You cannot connect to the gateway without an SSH key, since the image does not contain a default username and password.

    3. If required, under Metadata, specify a key named user-data and provide the contents of the cloud-init configuration file as its value.

    4. Click Create VM.

  3. Wait until the VM status switches to Running.

  4. Connect to the VM over SSH Use the username you set when creating the VM and the private SSH key you got earlier.
