To install Akola, you need to register a domain name and issue an SSL certificate for it.

For testing purposes, a self-signed certificate can be used.

Preparing resources in Yandex Cloud

Before installation, prepare the following resources in Yandex Cloud:

• Lockbox Secret
  Create a secret to store the database user password.

• Certificate in Certificate Manager
  Create a certificate using one of the methods:

  • Import your own certificate
  • Issue a Let’s Encrypt certificate

Installation and Launch

1. Fill in all required fields during the setup, including the certificate ID created earlier.
2. After installation is complete, wait 10–20 minutes for the application to become available.
3. Register a DNS record for your domain.
   You can find the assigned IP address in the Yandex Cloud management console.
4. Open your browser and navigate to:
   https://<your_domain>/create
   to register the first user in the system.

For testing, you may access the application via its IP address, but a certificate warning will appear.
