+Aliance Backup
+Aliance Backup is a cloud backup service for Yandex 360. Copies of Mail, Disk, Calendars, Contacts, Tasks, Forms, Yandex Tracker, and shared organizational drives are stored in your own S3-compatible storage — independent of the provider’s platform. No installation or deployment required.
Restoration is granular: a single email, file, or calendar event can be restored without rolling back the entire mailbox — available to both the administrator and the user themselves. A mailbox or Disk can be rolled back to any date from the backup history, with an unlimited number of revisions. A departed employee’s data can be restored into their successor’s mailbox. Licensing is issued for selected users, not the entire tenant.
Security. Two-tier encryption: each backup is encrypted with its own key (DEK, AES-256-GCM), and the DEK itself is encrypted with the organization’s master key (KEK, RSA-4096-OAEP). The public part of the master key is stored in the system, while the private part is held only by your administrator: without it, neither +Aliance nor the storage provider can decrypt the backup contents.
Compliance with Federal Law 152-FZ. Backups and personal data are stored within the Russian Federation, in the storage of your choice. A solution from a Russian company — no foreign clouds, CDNs, or authorization services involved. Currently undergoing registration in the Unified Register of Russian Software.
Independence from the Yandex cloud. If the subscription ends, the license is revoked, or the tenant is blocked, backups remain available for viewing and export for 30 days from the event date, and the service sends an email warning 7 days before deletion. For long-term storage, archival copies are available with retention periods of 30, 60, 90 days, or until the subscription ends.
What’s needed to get started: a Yandex 360 subscription at the “Basic” tier or higher, owner or administrator rights for the organization (login via OAuth, master key issued by the owner), and S3-compatible storage — an endpoint, bucket, and access keys. This can be cloud S3 (Yandex Object Storage, VK Cloud, Selectel) or your own, such as MinIO on your own server or NAS.
Log in to the service.
Login via OAuth 2.0 using the Yandex 360 organization owner account — passwords are never transmitted or stored.
Create a master key.
Organization master key: the public part stays in the system, while you keep the private part — without it, backups cannot be decrypted.
Select users.
Only those who need to be protected are licensed — not the entire tenant.
Configure storage.
Specify the endpoint, bucket, and access keys: S3-compatible cloud storage or your own S3 storage — for example, MinIO on a server or NAS.
Start backing up.
The first backup runs immediately, followed by scheduled incremental backups. Every run is visible in the log.
