Monitoring a database state

You can find the database state details in the management console. You can view them on the Monitoring tab of the database management page or in Yandex Monitoring.

Diagnostic information about the database state is shown as charts. Charts update every minute.

Note

The most appropriate multiple units (MB, GB, and more) are automatically used in charts.

You can configure alerts in Yandex Monitoring to get notified about database failures. In Yandex Monitoring, there are two trigger thresholds: Warning and Alarm. If the specified threshold is exceeded, you will get alerts via the configured notification channels.

To view detailed information about the Managed Service for YDB database state:

  1. In the management console, select the folder the database resides in.
  2. Go to Managed Service for YDB.
  3. Click the database name and open the Monitoring tab.
  4. To get started with Yandex Monitoring metrics, dashboards, or alerts, click Open in Monitoring in the top panel.

On the page that opens, you will see the database state charts.

To set up alerts for database state indicators:

  1. Create an alert.
  2. Add a state metric.
  3. Set the alert threshold values in the alert settings.
