To calculate the cost of using the service, use the calculator on the Yandex Cloud website or see the pricing data in this section.

Prices for service products are also available in the Price list.

What goes into the cost of using Managed Service for GitLabWhat goes into the cost of using Managed Service for GitLab

When using Managed Service for GitLab, you pay for:

  • Computing resources of your VM instance.
  • Data storage used by the instance.

Other consumed resources to be additionally paid for:

  • The space used in Yandex Object Storage to store backups.
  • Volume of outgoing traffic from Yandex Cloud to the internet.

In all calculations, 1 GB = 210 MB = 220 KB = 230 bytes.

Using computing resourcesUsing computing resources

VM operation cost is charged per hour.

The price of computing resources depends on the selected approval rule configuration.

The minimum billing unit is one hour; e.g., you will be charged for 2 hours when using a VM for 90 minutes (1.5 hours).

Disk space usageDisk space usage

You pay for the following:

  • Data storage allocated for your instance.
  • Size of backups stored in Object Storage.

The price covers one month of use. The minimum billing unit is 1 GB per hour (e.g., storing 1 GB for 1.5 hours costs the same as for 2 hours).

Example of instance cost calculationExample of instance cost calculation

The cost of using an instance with the following parameters for 30 days:

  • Instance type: s2.micro (2 vCPU Intel Cascade Lake, 8 GB RAM).
  • Storage: 30 GB.
  • Backups: Size per backup is 20 GB, retention time is 7 days.
  • Approval rules: Disabled.

Calculating the cost of computing resources:

720 × (2 × $0.015120 + 8 × $0.004050) = $45.100800

Where:

  • 720: Number of hours in 30 days.
  • 2: Number of vCPUs.
  • $0.015120: Cost of using a vCPU per hour.
  • 8: Amount of RAM (in GB).
  • $0.004050: Cost of using 1 GB of RAM per hour.

Calculation for storage and backup cost:

30 × $0.117090 + 20 × 7 × $0.017280 = $5.931900

Where:

  • 30: Storage size (in GB).
  • $0.117090: Cost of using 1 GB of storage per month.
  • 20: Size of each backup.
  • 7: Backup retention time.
  • $0.017280: Cost of storing 1 GB of backups.

Total instance cost calculation:

$45.100800 + $5.931900 = $51.032700

Where $51.032700: cost of using the instance for 30 days.
