SVZcloud Backup Enterprise

SVZCloud Backup provides agentless backup for Yandex Cloud VMs and disks. It helps save user data for fast recovery in the event of a crash or ransomware attack.

SVZCloud Backup uses the API and built-in Yandex Cloud mechanisms for fast and reliable VM backup and recovery. It supports any OS thanks to agentless technology.

• The ability to increase the reliability of VM and disk backup by storing on external storage.
• Ability to select the type of object storage in Yandex .Cloud: Standard, Cold, Ice to save the cost of storing copies.

There are two SVZCloud Backup product versions available in Yandex Cloud Marketplace: Basic for backups of up to 10 VMs and Enterprise for backups of up to 50 VMs. A version for backing up more than 50 VMs can be provided on a customer’s request.

1. Create service account with roles: storage.editor, compute.editor, vpc.publicAdmin, vpc.user, vpc.securityGroups.user.
   Save its ID.
2. Create an authorized key for the service account. Save the ID and private key.
3. Get an SSH key pair to connect to a virtual machine (VM).
4. Create a VM from a public image:
   o Under Image/boot disk selection, go to the Cloud Marketplace tab and select SVZCloud Backup Basic.
   o Under Disks and file storage, enter 20 GB as your disk size.
   o Under Computing resources, specify:
    vCPU: 4
    RAM: 8 GB
   o Under Access:
    In the Service account field, select the previously created service account.
    Enter the username in the Login field.
    Paste the contents of the public SSH key file in the SSH key field.
5. Open https://<VM_public_IP_address>/ in your browser.
6. Follow the installation steps via the web interface.
