Adding a dashboard parameter

Parameters allow you to create dashboards with customizable interactive content.
The following dashboard parameter types are used:
- Label: Parameter taking a set of values of the specified label.
- Custom: Parameter taking a set of fixed comma-separated values.
- Text: Parameter taking the single value specified in the text field.
To add a dashboard parameter:
- Open the home page
of the service. - On the left side of the window, select the Dashboards section.
- Select the dashboard you need.
- At the top of the page, click
Edit. - Click
Settings. - In the Dashboard settings window, go to the
Parameters tab. - Click Add parameter.
- Configure the parameter and click Save.
You can substitute a parameter when adding a widget to the dashboard.
Chart repetition by parameters
The function of chart repetition based on a parameter allows you to build multiple identical charts with different values of this parameter.
To enable chart repetition:
- Add a parameter to the dashboard.
- On the chart widget at the top right, click
and select Edit. - At the top right of the chart panel, click
. - Open the General section.
- Configure Repeat graphs:
- In the Repeat by parameter list, select the previously created parameter.
- In the Number of graphs per row list, select the number of charts per row.
- Close the settings panel and click
at the top right. - Go back to the dashboard and look at the new charts.
- Select different values for the parameters in the list at the top: the charts will plot the selected values.
