In this tutorial, you will create a schema registry to track schema evolution for an Apache Kafka® source using Yandex Data Transfer.

Getting started:

  1. Request network permissions in Puncher.
  2. Request the required roles and a token for access.
Management console
  1. In the management console, select the folder you are going to use to work with your schema registry.
  2. Select Yandex MetaData Hub.
  3. In the left-hand panel, select Schema Registry / Namespace.
  4. Click Create namespace.
  5. Specify namespace settings. After saving a namespace, you can use its ID to get the Schema Registry URL: {namespace_id}.schema-registry.yandex-team.ru:443.
  6. In the management console, go to Yandex Data Transfer.
  7. Configure an Apache Kafka® endpoint.
  8. Apply the Schema Registry URL in Data format settings for Debezium CDC parser.
  9. Create and run a data transfer.
