Adding a schema to an existing subject

You can upload a schema to an existing subject from the subject page or the schema list page.
Adding a schema from the subject page
Management console
- In the management console
, select the folder where you want to add a schema to a subject. - Select Yandex MetaData Hub.
- In the left-hand panel, select
Schema Registry. - Select the namespace where the subject is located.
- In the left-hand panel, select
Subjects. - Click the subject name. Then, in the top-right corner, click
Load a schema. - Click Upload file and attach your file.
- If a schema references another schema, click
and enter the reference name, the subject name the schema is registered under for linking, and the subject version containing the referenced schema. - To apply data schema normalization
, enable the Normalization setting. - If you want to skip the schema compatibility check, enable the relevant option.
- Click Load a schema.
Adding a schema from the scema list page
Management console
- In the management console
, select the folder where you want to add a schema to a subject. - Select Yandex MetaData Hub.
- In the left-hand panel, select
Schema Registry. - Select the namespace where the subject is located.
- In the left-hand panel, select
Schemas. - Click Load a schema.
- Select the schema uploading method: into an existing subject.
- In the Name field, select a subject from the list.
- Click Upload file and attach your file.
- If a schema references another schema, click
and enter the reference name, the subject name the schema is registered under for linking, and the subject version containing the referenced schema. - To apply data schema normalization
, enable the Normalization setting. - If you want to skip the schema compatibility check, enable the relevant option.
- Click Load a schema.
