Adding a response page template to a profile or rule

You can add a response page template to a security or ARL profile, or to individual rules in any of those profiles.

The profile template is displayed when this profile is blocked by any rule. If you select another template for a particular profile, the selected template will be used. If no template is selected for a profile or rule, the default template will be used.

Management console
  1. In the management console, select the folder containing the security or ARL profile.
  2. Go to Smart Web Security.
  3. In the left-hand panel, select Security profiles or ARL profiles.
  4. In the row with the profile you need, click and select Edit.
  5. From the Response page template list, select an existing template or create a new one.
  6. Click Save.

Rules you can assign a page template to:

  • Security profile rules:
    • Base with the Deny action.
    • Smart Protection with the Full protection or API protection action.
    • Web Application Firewall with the Full protection or API protection action.
  • ARL profile rules with the Block requests exceeding the limit or Temporarily block all requests actions.

Additionally, you can customize the SmartCaptcha challenge window. Do it by creating a new CAPTCHA or modifying an existing one linked to the security profile.

Management console
  1. In the management console, select the folder containing the security or ARL profile.
  2. Go to Smart Web Security.
  3. In the left-hand panel, select Security profiles or ARL profiles.
  4. Select the profile containing the rule of interest.
  5. Next to the rule, click and select Edit.
  6. From the Response page template list, select an existing template or create a new one.
  7. Click Save.
