Yandex Identity Hub billing management
With SAML and OIDC apps, Identity Hub users can authenticate in external applications, such as Grafana Cloud
To manage Identity Hub billing and use its billable features, link a billing account to Identity Hub.
Note
Monthly connection limit
On their first login to an external application, an Identity Hub user starts consuming their organization’s monthly connection limit. Then, until the month ends, this user can log in to any external applications without limitations.
By default, an organization has a non-billable limit of 15 users per month who can authenticate to external applications. After that limit is reached, no new users will be able to log in to external apps.
You can view information about users consuming this month’s connection limit at any moment. When a new month begins, the data on connection limit consumption is reset.
Note
To view connection limit usage data for an organization, you need the organization-manager.idpInstances.billingViewer role or higher for that organization.
Changing the connection limit
You can increase the connection limit at any time. Still, extra users above the non-billable limit will be billed. The connection limit is increased immediately after payment.
You can also reduce the connection limit. In this case, the already paid connections will remain valid until the end of the current month, and the changes will take effect starting from the first day of the next month. The minimum value is 15 connections.
Note
To change the connection limit in an organization, you need the organization-manager.idpInstances.billingAdmin role or higher for that organization.
Cost calculation examples
Example 1
Your organization has 10 users who need access to external applications.
By default, the organization has a non-billable limit of 15 users per month who can authenticate to external applications. This means you will not be charged for using Identity Hub.
Example 2
At the beginning of the month, your organization had 15 users who needed access to external applications. Now, you need to increase the user limit to 130.
(130 - 15) × $4.083333 = 115 × $4.083333 = $469.583333
Total: $469.583333.
Where:
- 130: Limit on the number of paid users.
- 15: Non-billable number of users.
- $4.083333: Cost per user per month for 101 to 500 users.

Example 3
At the beginning of the month, your organization had 130 users who needed access to external applications. Now, you need to increase the user limit to 600.
(600 - 130) × $3.666667 = 470 × $3.666667 = $1,723.333333
Total: $1,723.333333, a one-off payment.
(600 - 15) × $3.666667 = 585 × $3.666667 = $2,145.000000
Total: $2,145.000000, per month.
Where:
- 600: New limit on the number of paid users.
- 130: Old limit on the number of paid users.
- 15: Non-billable number of users.
- $3.666667: Cost per user per month for 501 to 1,000 users.

Example 4
At the beginning of the month, your organization had 600 users who needed access to external applications. Now, you need to reduce the user limit to 400.
