Creating an alert

Note

To view alerts, you need the viewer role or higher for the relevant cloud.

  1. On the Monium.Metrics home page, click Create alert.

  2. Specify the main alert settings:

    • Name: Name the alert.
    • Description: Describe the purpose of the alert.
  3. Describe queries.

  4. Configure the alert trigger conditions:

    • Query to check.
    • Aggregation function.
    • Comparison function.
    • Warning and Alarm trigger thresholds.
    • Evaluation window.
    • Evaluation delay.

  5. Set the no data policies or leave the default values.

  6. Specify the alert annotations.

  7. To sort alerts and search for alerts, add labels in key=value format.

    You can add multiple labels. Do it by clicking Enter after you enter a key=value pair. To use labels in another alert or the search bar, click Copy all labels.

  8. Configure notifications. If you do not have a notification channel, create one.

  9. Click Create. The alert will appear in the list.

To monitor the alert's status, add its widget to the dashboard.
