Image on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS that contains the following tools for managing Yandex Cloud resources:
- Yandex Cloud CLI.
- Terraform: Cloud infrastructure management tool from Hashicorp company.
- Packer: Cloud image builder tool from Hashicorp company.
- Pulumi: Cloud infrastructure management tool based on native programming languages.
- Helm: A package manager for Kubernetes.
- kubectl: A command-line tool for managing Kubernetes clusters.
- gRPCurl: A command-line tool for interacting with gRPC servers.
- jq: A command-line JSON processor.
- yq: A lightweight and portable command-line YAML, JSON and XML processor.
- Docker: A platform for developing container applications.
- Git: A version control system.

- Get an SSH key pair to connect to a virtual machine (VM).
- Create a VM from a public image. Under Image/boot disk selection, go to the Cloud Marketplace tab and select Yandex Cloud Toolbox. Under Access:
- Enter the username in the Login field.
- Paste the contents of the public key file in the SSH key field.
- Connect to the VM via SSH. To do this, use the username you set when creating the VM and the private SSH key you created earlier.
- Configure a working environment. Execute the following command in the terminal window:
/usr/local/etc/setup.sh
setup.sh
script will configure a working environment for kubectl, Docker, YC CLI, and Terraform and change Bash Command Prompt. If a service account has been specified in the VM settings, the YC CLIdefault
profile will be created automatically. All operations in this profile will be performed on behalf of the service account specified in the VM settings. You can change the profile parameters or create a new profile. If the service account is not specified in the VM settings, you must authenticate in the YC CLI yourself.
