Rosa Chrome Desktop
Rosa Chrome Workstation is a Russian Linux distribution for corporate users.
The OS is based on its native ROSA 2021.1 software platform and was built in a full-cycle ABF environment.
Rosa Chrome is technologically compatible with other certified products by STC IT ROSA. This enables you to easily build infrastructures of any complexity with various security circuits.
Features
- RPM4 package manager. RPM5 has been fully replaced by RPM4 to ensure enhanced integration with RHEL-compatible operating systems.
- Anaconda-based installer with graphical and text installation options and fast deployment scenarios.
- Linux 5.15.x kernel in the basic version.
- Glibc 2.33 runtime library (in the mode of backward compatibility with Linux kernels down to 4.14.x), a set of GCC 11.2 compilers, and the systemd 249+ initialization tool.
- Pre-installed proprietary NVIDIA driver.
- Initial loader with localized interface support and GDM-based login manager.

- Easy and fast out-of-the-box deployment of an isolated software environment with an option to prohibit running untrusted code. The system administrator solely defines which code should be trusted, with no trust imposed regarding any third-party software.
- Building highly protected environments for desktops, servers, and cloud-based systems.
- Support for OpenSSL encryption, password hashing based on Russian State Standards (GOST), and secure VPNs. Chromium browser from the repository supports GOST TLS via CryptoPro.
- Support of popular tools for app containerization, orchestration, and delivery, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and others.
- Components are highly customizable and integrable into running infrastructures.
- The distribution is compliant with the Linux Standard Base. This allows you to run applications that are compatible with this standard, including proprietary and commercial solutions that are important for corporate users.
- Pre-installed graphical programs make it easy to administer the system: tools for configuring various system components in a single control panel, kiosk, quota settings, and running programs from execution priority.
- A set of pre-installed applications for a quick start, including an email client, a browser, an office suite, and a quick messaging client.
