Tip

To calculate the cost of using the service, use our calculator on the Yandex Cloud website or check out the pricing below.

The prices for service products are also available in the price list.

Note

Currency of Service rates (prices) depends on the company you made a contract with:

  • Prices in US dollars are applicable to customers of Iron Hive doo Beograd (Serbia) or Direct Cursus Technology L.L.C. (Dubai).
  • Prices in Russian roubles are applicable to customers of Yandex.Cloud LLC.

All prices below do not include VAT.

Cluster statusCluster status

Prices are applied differently depending on the cluster status:

  • For a Running cluster, you are charged both for the computing resources and the size of storage and backup.
  • For a Stopped cluster, you are only charged for the storage and backup size.

What goes into the cost of using Managed Service for YDBWhat goes into the cost of using Managed Service for YDB

When using Managed Service for YDB in dedicated-instance mode, you pay for the following:

  • Type and size of storage groups allocated for the DB.
  • Computing resources allocated to the DB.
  • Disk space allocated for temporary storage (spilling).

The following resources are paid additionally:

  • Space used in Yandex Object Storage to store on-demand backups.
  • Outgoing traffic from Yandex Cloud to the internet.

In all calculations, 1 GB = 210 MB = 220 KB = 230 bytes.

Using computing resourcesUsing computing resources

The cost is calculated for each hour of VM operation as per its class. For detailed class specifications, see Yandex Managed Service for YDB overview.

The minimum billing unit is one hour; for example, you will be charged for two hours when using a VM for 90 minutes.

Disk space usageDisk space usage

You pay for the following:

  • Storage allocated for DB storage groups.

  • Space used by on-demand DB backups saved in Object Storage.

    Note

For each DB, Managed Service for YDB automatically creates and stores two full backups for the last two days for free. No fee is charged for storing automatic backups.

  • Temporary storage size (for spilling).

    Note

The cost of temporary storage (spilling) is specified per YDB node.

The price covers one month of use. The minimum billing unit is 1 GB/hr (e.g., storing 1 GB for 1.5 hours costs the same as for 2 hours).

Discount for committed volumes of services (CVoS)Discount for committed volumes of services (CVoS)

You can get a guaranteed discount on service resource usage when you plan for six months or one year ahead. To see the resources you can get a discount on:

  1. Go to Yandex Cloud Billing.
  2. Click on the desired billing account.
  3. Select Committed volume in the left-hand menu.

A CVoS guarantees a discount on consumption but does not guarantee the availability of the resources you order. Read more about CVoS in the Yandex Cloud Billing documentation.

Managed Service for YDB provides two types of CVoS: on vCPUs and on RAM for the hosts you are planning to use in your DB clusters. In the management console, you can see how much you can potentially save with CVoS at the current consumption level. You can also estimate your monthly payments for the required number of vCPUs and RAM.

Note

Currently, you cannot order storage or web traffic this way.

Prices for the Russia regionPrices for the Russia region

Note

Yandex Cloud resources are priced differently in different regions. For more information about the available regions, see Regions.

Your payment currency is determined by your contracting legal entity. For more information on creating an account, see Registering an account in Yandex Cloud.

Minimum group size

A single storage group can store up to 100 GB of user data. The minimum granularity of space allocation for a DB is one storage group.

Outbound trafficOutbound traffic

When using the service, you pay for traffic from Yandex Cloud to the internet. Traffic between internal IP addresses of Yandex Cloud services and incoming internet traffic is free.

The first 100 GB of outgoing traffic per month are free of charge.

The minimum billing unit is 1 MB.
