Discontinuation of the ru-central1-c availability zone

Yandex Cloud plans to gradually discontinue the ru-central1-c
availability zone. Starting April 2022, its operation is limited:

Zonal quota, a new type of quota, has been introduced for the number of zonal resources in
ru-central1-c
. You can increase such quotas only by contacting support . Zonal quotas apply to the following services:- Compute Cloud (VMs and VM computing resources, instance groups, disks, file storages, dedicated hosts)
- Managed Service for Kubernetes (nodes)
Zonal quota numbers will be published later in Quotas and limits in Compute Cloud and Quotas and limits in Managed Service for Kubernetes.

ru-central1-c
, new Yandex Cloud zonal features are unavailable. You cannot create:- Compute Cloud VMs with GPUs
- Compute Cloud VMs based on Intel Ice Lake Compute-Optimized
- Compute Cloud dedicated hosts based on Intel Ice Lake
- Managed Service for Greenplum® database hosts
As part of discontinuation, starting May 28, 2024, all our ru-central1-c
users will no longer be able to:
- Create new Managed Service for Kubernetes master hosts and node groups.
- Create or update MDB cluster hosts.
- Enable
ru-central1-c
in Application Load Balancer to accept traffic. - Enable
ru-central1-c
in Instance Groups to accept traffic. - Create new Managed Service for GitLab instances.
- Create new Cloud Desktop instances.
