Creating a source

Management console
  1. In the management console, select the resource folder you created the metadata catalog in.

  2. Select Yandex MetaData Hub.

  3. In the left-hand panel, select Data Catalog.

  4. In the list that opens, select the metadata catalog you want to create a source in.

  5. In the left-hand panel, select Data sources.

  6. Click Create data source.

  7. Enter a unique name for the source. Once you create the source, you cannot rename it.

  8. Optionally, describe the source.

  9. Select the backend type to provide metadata from. Once the source is created, you cannot change the database type. Available backends:

    • PostgreSQL
    • MySQL®
    • ClickHouse®
    • Yandex Data Transfer
    • WebSQL
    • Yandex StoreDoc/ MongoDB
    • OpenSearch
    • Greenplum®
  10. Specify the source parameters for the selected database type:

    • Connection ID: Managed connection ID in Yandex Connection Manager.
    • Database name: Name of the database to ingest metadata from.
  11. Click Create.
