Getting started with Yandex Managed Service for YTsaurus

To get started with Managed Service for YTsaurus:
Getting started

Navigate to the management console
and either log in to Yandex Cloud or sign up if you do not have an account yet. -
If you do not have a folder yet, create one:

In the management console
, select the appropriate cloud from the list on the left. -
At the top right, click Create folder.

Give your folder a name. The naming requirements are as follows:
- It must be from 2 to 63 characters long.
- It can only contain lowercase Latin letters, numbers, and hyphens.
- It must start with a letter and cannot end with a hyphen.

Optionally, specify the description for your folder.

Select Create a default network. This will create a network with subnets in each availability zone. Within this network, you will also have a default security group, within which all network traffic will be allowed.

Click Create.

Assign the following roles to your Yandex Cloud account:
- managed-ytsaurus.editor: To create a cluster.
- vpc.user: Required to access the cluster network.
Note
If you are unable to manage roles, contact your cloud or organization administrator.
Create a demo cluster
Note
Creating a YTsaurus cluster takes a long time.

In the management console
, select the folder where you want to create a Managed Service for YTsaurus cluster. -
Select Managed Service for YTsaurus.

Click Create cluster.

Select Demo cluster to create a cluster with the minimum operational configuration.

Under Basic parameters:
- Give the cluster a name. The name must be unique within the folder.
- Optionally, enter a description for the cluster.
- Optionally, create labels:
- Click Add label.
- Enter a label in
key: valueformat. - Press Enter.

Under Network settings, select:
- Availability zone for the cluster.
- Subnet.
- Security group for the cluster’s network traffic. This is an optional setting.
Warning
You cannot edit any network settings after you create a cluster.

Under Cluster configuration, view the cluster configuration parameters.

Click Create.

Wait until the cluster is ready: its status on the Managed Service for YTsaurus dashboard will change to Running. This process can take a while.
Open the YTsaurus web interface
You can manage YTsaurus through the web interface. To use the interface, you need the managed-ytsaurus.user role or higher. To get started with the YTsaurus web interface:
- In the management console
, open the cluster page. - Go to the YTsaurus web interface page.
