All prices below do not include VAT.

What goes into the cost of using Yandex Data ProcessingWhat goes into the cost of using Yandex Data Processing

The total cost of using Yandex Data Processing includes:

  • The cost of using the computing resources of Yandex Compute Cloud VMs to deploy hosts.
  • Markup on computing resources for using the Yandex Data Processing managed service.
  • Using the Compute Cloud network drives.
  • Using Yandex Cloud Logging to collect and store logs.
  • Amount of outgoing traffic.

In all calculations: 1 GB = 230 bytes, 1 MB = 220 bytes.

Using computing resourcesUsing computing resources

The cost is calculated for each hour of the virtual machine’s operation within Compute Cloud according to the Yandex Compute Cloud resource pricing, with an additional markup for using Yandex Data Processing.

For public IP address pricing, refer to the Virtual Private Cloud pricing policy section in the Yandex Virtual Private Cloud documentation.

Disk space usageDisk space usage

The storage capacity allocated to each host in the cluster is billed as part of Compute Cloud according to the disk space pricing.

Using Yandex Cloud LoggingUsing Yandex Cloud Logging

Log collection and storage are billed according to the Yandex Cloud Logging pricing policy.

Example of calculating the cost of standard hostsExample of calculating the cost of standard hosts

Hourly cost for a cluster consisting of two subclusters with the following specifications:

  • First subcluster:

    • Master host: m2.micro class, Intel Cascade Lake, 2 × 100% vCPU, 16 GB RAM.
    • Master host storage: 20 GB network-ssd.
  • Second subcluster:

    • Data storage host: s2.micro class, Intel Cascade Lake, 2 × 100% vCPU, 8 GB RAM.
    • Host storage: 100 GB network-hdd.

The cost is calculated as follows:

Standard hosts

Hourly cost for a cluster consisting of two subclusters with the following specifications:

  • First subcluster:

    • Master host: m2.micro class, Intel Cascade Lake, 2 × 100% vCPU, 16 GB RAM.
    • Master host storage: 20 GB network-ssd.
  • Second subcluster:

    • Data storage host: s2.micro class, Intel Cascade Lake, 2 × 100% vCPU, 8 GB RAM.
    • Host storage: 100 GB network-hdd.

The cost is calculated as follows:

$0.011790 × 2 + $0.003060 × 16 + $0.000171 × 20 = $0.075960

Total: $0.075960: Cost of using the first subcluster per hour.

Where:

  • $0.011790: Cost of using 100% vCPU per hour.
  • 2: Number of vCPUs per master host.
  • $0.003060: Cost of using 1 GB of RAM per hour.
  • 16: Amount of RAM per master host (in GB).
  • $0.000171: Cost of using 1 GB of network-ssd per hour.
  • 20: Master host storage capacity (in GB).

$0.011790 × 2 + $0.003060 × 8 + $0.000042 × 100 = $0.052260

Total: $0.052260: Cost of using the second subcluster per hour.

Where:

  • $0.011790: Cost of using 100% vCPU per hour.
  • 2: Number of vCPUs per data storage host.
  • $0.003060: Cost of using 1 GB of RAM per hour.
  • 8: Amount of RAM per data storage host (in GB).
  • $0.000042: Cost of using 1 GB of network-hdd per hour.
  • 100: Storage capacity per data storage host (in GB).

$0.075960 + $0.052260 = $0.128220

Total: $0.128220: Cost of using a cluster of two subclusters per hour.

Where:

  • $0.075960: Cost of using the first subcluster per hour.
  • $0.052260: Cost of using the second subcluster per hour.
