Warning

Due to the technical features of the Yandex Cloud infrastructure, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to add an existing non-replicated disk to a placement group. However, you will certainly be able to create a disk directly in the group.

You can only place a non-replicated disk in a single group, which must reside in the same availability zone.

To add a disk to a placement group:

Management console
API
  1. In the management console, select the folder in which you want to add a disk to a placement group.

  2. Select Compute Cloud.

  3. In the left-hand panel, select Placement groups.

  4. Navigate to the Non-replicated disk placement groups tab.

  5. Select the placement group to add a disk to.

  6. Go to the Disks panel and click Add disk.

  7. In the window that opens, select the disk you want to add.

For partition placement groups, specify the partition number.

  8. Click Add.

Use the update REST API method for the Disk resource or the DiskService/Update gRPC API call.

To request a list of available disks, use the list REST API method for the Disk resource or the DiskService/List gRPC API call.
