Updating software on a Managed Service for GitLab instance

You need to update the version of the installed GitLab Community Edition or GitLab Enterprise Edition package on the Managed Service for GitLab instance.

SolutionSolution

You cannot update the software version independently yet.
The GitLab software is updated on Managed Service for GitLab instances automatically as the released GitLab software versions are adapted to the Yandex Cloud environment.

If a GitLab software update is critical for certain reasons, create a request for technical support.
In the request, specify the following information:

1. ID of the GitLab instance for which you need to update the installed software.
2. Target GitLab version you want to install.
3. Date and time of the update.
4. Reason for the update.
