Workflow templates
A workflow template is a set of Tracker tools grouped and configured for most common workflows.
Project management
This template is good for projects that are limited in time and number of issues. A project is aimed to achieve the same result by one or more teams. By using projects, you can easily group issues of several teams focused on the same goal, set the issue hierarchy, and plan deadlines.
When you select this template, the following items are created automatically:
- Project with a Gantt chart and an issue board.
- Queue with a basic set of issue types and statuses.
You can create additional queues separately.
Development
This template is suitable for software development teams that use Scrum
When you select this template, the following items are created automatically:
- Issue board with a backlog and a planning poker.
- Queue with a basic set of issue types and statuses.
If you are using cloud-based services, such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket, you can connect any number of repositories and link commits to issues.
Support
This template is good for internal and external support services. You can create issues from emails sent to the support team's email address or via the feedback form on your website, as well as from the Tracker interface using the embedded form. This template has sample response templates, SLA timers, and auto responses pre-configured.
When you select this template, the following items are created automatically:
- Issue queue with a form for user requests.
- Basic issue board.
- Queue with a basic set of issue types and statuses.
Basic
It is good for getting started with Tracker. If you select this template, you can then configure and extend it.

Creating a workflow based on a template
- On the My page
home page, click Select template in the Workflow templates widget. - Select the template you need and click Next.
- Specify the queue parameters:
- Issue queue name
- Queue key
- Permissions
- Click Next. Depending on the selected template, one of the following items will open:
- Project management: New project page.
- Development: Board with a backlog.
- Support: Issue queue.
- Basic: Issue board.
