Adding a schema to an existing subject

You can upload a schema to an existing subject from the subject page or the schema list page.

Management console
  1. In the management console, select the folder where you want to add a schema to a subject.
  2. Navigate to Yandex MetaData Hub.
  3. In the left-hand panel, select Schema Registry.
  4. Select the namespace where the subject is located.
  5. In the left-hand panel, select Subjects.
  6. Click the subject name. Then, in the top-right corner, click Load a schema.
  7. Click Upload file and attach your file.
  8. If a schema references another schema, click and enter the reference name, the subject name the schema is registered under for linking, and the subject version containing the referenced schema.
  9. To apply data schema normalization, enable the Normalization setting.
  10. If you want to skip the schema compatibility check, enable the relevant option.
  11. Click Load a schema.

Management console
  1. In the management console, select the folder where you want to add a schema to a subject.
  2. Navigate to Yandex MetaData Hub.
  3. In the left-hand panel, select Schema Registry.
  4. Select the namespace where the subject is located.
  5. In the left-hand panel, select Schemas.
  6. Click Load a schema.
  7. Select the schema uploading method: into an existing subject.
  8. In the Name field, select a subject from the list.
  9. Click Upload file and attach your file.
  10. If a schema references another schema, click and enter the reference name, the subject name the schema is registered under for linking, and the subject version containing the referenced schema.
  11. To apply data schema normalization, enable the Normalization setting.
  12. If you want to skip the schema compatibility check, enable the relevant option.
  13. Click Load a schema.
