- Added a new service role,
managed-kafka.interfaceUser, that enables you to use the Kafka UI. - Added the option to select a coordination service when creating a cluster:
- ZooKeeper (on separate hosts)
- KRaft (combined mode)
- KRaft (on separate hosts)
- ZooKeeper is supported by clusters with Apache Kafka® 3.6 to 3.9 (inclusive).
August 2025
- Built-in support for the Kafka UI web interface is now available in the Kazakhstan region.
- Added new user roles for managing Apache Kafka® cluster resources:
ACCESS_ROLE_TOPIC_PRODUCER,ACCESS_ROLE_TOPIC_CONSUMER,ACCESS_ROLE_SCHEMA_READER, andACCESS_ROLE_SCHEMA_WRITER. - Added the ability to migrate from ZooKeeper to KRaft hosts.
- Added the ability to sync data from Apache Kafka® topics to an Object Storage bucket without using the internet.
- Changed the limit for the amount of broker data when using SSD network storage. The new limit is 32,768 GB.

- Added support for the new Apache Kafka® 3.7, 3.8, and 3.9. These versions are available in the
PRODUCTIONenvironment. For more information about revisions, see the Apache Kafka® documentation . - Starting March 1, 2025, support for Apache Kafka® versions 2.8, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 is discontinued. You cannot create a cluster with these versions.

Added automatic increase of disk size. In the cluster settings, the user can set the disk storage usage threshold and maximum disk size. Upon reaching the threshold, the disk size will automatically increase in fixed increments up to its maximum. You can choose to immediately increase the disk size or to increase it during the next maintenance window.
