Creating a chartCreating a chart

To create a chart:

Warning

If you use a new DataLens object model with workbooks and collections:

  1. Go to the DataLens home page. In the left-hand panel, select Collections and workbooks.
  2. Open the workbook, click Create in the top-right corner, and select the appropriate object.

Follow the guide from step 3.

  1. Go to the DataLens home page.

  2. In the left-hand panel, click Charts.

  3. Click Create chart → Chart in Wizard.

  4. On the top panel, select a visualization type.

  5. Drag the data fields you want to visualize into the chart sections.

  6. Configure chart settings.

  7. Save the chart:

    1. In the top-right corner, click Save.
    2. In the window that opens, enter a name for your chart and click Save.

Create a copy or draft of the chartCreate a copy or draft of the chart

To create a chart copy, use one of these methods:

  • In the top-right corner of your chart, click → Save as copy. In the window that opens, enter a name for the new chart and click Save.
  • At the top of the chart, click → Duplicate. In the window that opens, enter a name for the new chart and click Apply.
  • Go to the workbook page with the chart. In the row with the chart, click → Duplicate. In the window that opens, enter a name for the new chart and click Apply.

You can also create a draft of the chart by clicking → Save as draft in the upper right corner of the chart. For more information, see Versioning in Yandex DataLens.

Undoing and redoing changes in chartsUndoing and redoing changes in charts

When editing a chart, you can undo/redo any change introduced within the current version.
