Creating a broadcast

API
  1. Open the Cloud Video home page.

  2. Select a channel.

  3. In the Broadcasts tab, click Create a broadcast.

  4. Enter a name and description for the broadcast.

  5. Select or create a new line.

  6. In the Thumbnail field, click Select file and choose a cover image.

    The following cover formats are supported: JPG, PNG, and GIF.

  7. Select the preferred broadcast stream type:

    • On demand: Start and end the broadcast manually from the Cloud Video interface.
    • By schedule: Start and end the broadcast automatically at the specified time.
  8. If you selected the By schedule stream type, specify the start and end date and time of the broadcast.

  9. (Optional) To place part of the broadcast on the website, select it as a separate episode:

    1. Click Add an episode.

    2. Enter a name and description for the episode.

    3. Specify the start and end date and time of the episode.

    4. In the Thumbnail field, click Select file and choose a cover image.

      The following cover formats are supported: JPG, PNG, and GIF.

    You can add any number of episodes. To delete an episode you do not need, click .

  10. Click Create.

Use the create REST API method for the Stream resource or the StreamService/Create gRPC API call.
