Object Storage pricing policy

Note
Currency of Service rates (prices) depends on the company you made a contract with:
- Prices in US dollars are applicable to customers of Iron Hive doo Beograd (Serbia) or Direct Cursus Technology L.L.C. (Dubai).
- Prices in Russian roubles are applicable to customers of Yandex.Cloud LLC.
What goes into the cost of using Object Storage
The Object Storage usage cost is based on:
- Storage class.
- Amount of storage used by your data.
- Number of operations with your data.
- Amount of outgoing traffic.
In all calculations, 1 GB = 230 bytes.
Standard storage resources are provided free of charge every month:
- First 1 GB of storage per month
- First 10,000 PUT, POST, PATCH, and LIST operations
- First 100,000 GET, HEAD, and OPTIONS operations
After you've used up your free service amounts, you will be charged at the applicable rate. The unused balance of free services is reset at the end of the month.
Using storage
Storage usage is measured in GB per month. The volume of data stored during a month is taken as the month's average based on granulated per-second data. The minimum billing unit is 1 hour of storing 1 MB of data.
Performing operations with data
Data operations are billed according to the following policy:
- The minimum billing unit for PUT, POST, PATCH, LIST, and TRANSITION operations is 10.
- The minimum billing unit for GET, HEAD, and OPTIONS operations is 100.
- You are not charged for deleting data (DELETE operation).

Data storage
The cost of 1 GB per month is fixed and does not depend on the number of days in the month.

1 The daily cost of data storage service is calculated as Cost_of_1_GB_per_month / number_of_days_in_the_month. For shorter months, the storage cost per day is higher. For longer months, it is lower.
Here is an example of proportional calculation. Let's assume a user stores 15 GB of data for 11.5 hours during a 30-day month. The total cost of storage can be calculated using the formula:
Storage_price = Price_per_GB_per_month × 15 × 12 / 24 / 30
2 The first 1 GB of data in standard storage per month is free of charge.
For example, if the price per 1 GB of data in standard storage per month is ₽2.01, with 23 GB of data stored per month, your monthly data storage cost will be:
(23 − 1) × ₽2.01 = 22 × ₽2.01 = ₽44.22
For example, if the price per 1 GB of data in standard storage per month is ₸10.05, with 23 GB of data stored per month, your monthly data storage cost will be:
(23 − 1) × ₸10.05 = 22 × ₸10.05 = ₸221.10
3 The minimum billable storage time of an object in ice storage is 12 months. If you delete an object that was stored for less than 12 months, you will be charged the remaining cost after deletion.
For example, if the price per 1 GB of data in ice storage per month is ₽0.54, and a 3 GB object was in ice storage from January 1 through September 20 (8 months and 20 days), your storage charge will be calculated as follows:
- Total from January 1 through September 20
- A = 3 × (8 + (20 / 30)) × ₽0.54 = (3 × 260 / 30) × ₽0.54 = ₽14.04
- September 20 after deleting the object
- B = (3 × 12 × ₽0.54) − A = ₽19.44 − ₽14.04 = ₽5.40
- Total
- A + B = ₽19.44
For example, if the price per 1 GB of data in ice storage per month is ₸2.68, and a 3 GB object was in ice storage from January 1 through September 20 (8 months and 20 days), your storage charge will be calculated as follows:
- Total from January 1 through September 20
- A = 3 × (8 + (20 / 30)) × ₸2.68 = (3 × 260 / 30) × ₸2.68 = ₸69.68
- September 20 after deleting the object
- B = (3 × 12 × ₸2.68) − A = ₸96.48 − ₸69.68 = ₸26.80
- Total
- A + B = ₸96.48

Note
You are going to be charged for the GET, HEAD, OPTIONS, PATCH, POST, and PUT operations ending with Error 403 or 404. The cost is calculated based on standard storage rates.
The first 10,000 PUT, POST, PATCH, and LIST operations and the first 100,000 GET, HEAD, and OPTIONS operations in standard storage per month are free of charge.
For example, if the price per 10,000 GET operations in standard storage per month is ₽0.39, with 24,500 GET operations per month, your total monthly cost of data operations will be:
((24,500 − 10,000) / 10,000) × ₽0.39 = (14,500 / 10,000) × ₽0.39 = ₽0.5655
For example, if the price per 10,000 GET operations in standard storage per month is ₸1.95, with 24,500 GET operations per month, your total monthly cost of data operations will be:
((24,500 − 10,000) / 10,000) × ₸1.95 = (14,500 / 10,000) × ₸1.95 = ₸2.8275
Egress traffic
When using the service, you pay for traffic from Yandex Cloud to the internet. Traffic between Yandex Cloud services and incoming internet traffic are free.
The minimum billing unit is 1 MB. The billing period is a calendar month.

The first 100 GB of outgoing traffic per month for Object Storage are free of charge.
For example, if the price per 1 GB of outgoing traffic above 100 GB and up to 1 TB per month is ₽1.53, with 283 GB of outgoing traffic per month, your monthly cost will be:
(283 − 100) × ₽1.53 = 183 × ₽1.53 = ₽279.99
For example, if the price per 1 GB of outgoing traffic above 100 GB and up to 1 TB per month is ₸7.65, with 283 GB of outgoing traffic per month, your monthly cost will be:
(283 − 100) × ₸7.65 = 183 × ₸7.65 = ₸1,399.95
